Bridging the Gaps

In 1800, 97% of the world’s population lived in rural areas, a demographic that had been fairly constant for hundreds, even thousands, of years.

In those times, the cycle of the seasons provided the framework for society, news and information were transmitted in person, skills and professions were mastered through multi-year apprenticeships, and the most valuable lessons were delivered in forests and fields.

At the beginning of the 21st century, 47% of the world’s population was living in urban areas, with that percent expected to climb to 60% by 2030. In only 200 years, the agrarian context from which the human race emerged has been replaced by a technological age that has served up a banquet of innovations.

In these times, information transfer is measured in gigabytes per nanosecond; an apprenticeship spanning decades has been replaced by a need to upgrade or completely change skill sets every few years; and even the fields and forests are dominated by highly-engineered additives, crops, and machines.

Today, even the daily cycle of the sun has virtually no relevance to the accelerated pace that is considered imperative for success in the global economy.

At ORIANA, we recognize that this unprecedented shift in our history and evolution has created significant gaps in our lives. Bridging some of those gaps has been the focus of ORIANA’s services for over two decades.

One thing that seems to distinguish the human race from other life on this planet is that we are always trying to improve things, striving to solve all our problems. But today's solutions often embody complex concepts and technologies that must be understood before we can reap the benefits. When understanding isn't complete, critical gaps develop between solutions and the ability to realize their full value.

Training courses, user manuals and 'how to' books abound but spiralling after-sales support costs in every industry clearly suggest that they aren't doing their job.

InterCI, ORIANA's Inter Communications Interface, does the job.

InterCI addresses the gap between the solution and the people who need to understand it. InterCI methodology takes the best of traditional training and technical writing techniques and combines these with a storytelling approach. Tell a good story and everyone will listen. And if, in the telling, you leave no assumption unquestioned and no question unanswered, then you bridge the gap.

IntraCI refers to the interface between the mind and the body. Free-flowing, conscious communication between the mind and the body is a cornerstone of health. A goal of the Mandalas section of this site is to provide understanding and information to support mind/body communication.

The Interra Communications Interface refers to the interface between the individual and the environment, between humanity and the planet. In two words: Pinnacle Farms.

Born out of the love of horses, Pinnacle Farms is sustained by love for the planet and hope for the future. It is wholly owned by ORIANA Communications Inc. and ORIANA's continued commitment to Pinnacle is in recognition of the fact that the InterraCI has never been more significant than today.
